La Phonétique - Phonetics & Pronunciation
L'alphabet phonétique et les transcriptions phonétiques sont là pour nous aider et nous guider dans la prononciation de l'anglais.

La phonétique anglaise crée souvent de la confusion chez les personnes apprenant l'anglais. Dans la langue anglaise la même combinaison de lettres peut être prononcée de plusieurs façons différentes. Le poète Gerard Nolst Trenité (1870–1946) a écrit un poème qui s'appelle 'Le Chaos' dans l'objectif de démontrer l’irrégularité des règles de prononciation de la langue anglaise ! Si vous avez un bon niveau en anglais, essayez de le lire, c'est un défi !

Les informations, les exercices et les outils ici peuvent vous aider à bien prononcer l'anglais et à aider aux enfants de mieux prononcer les mots. Les enfants de bas âge ont tendance de nous copier, donc si on arrive a bien prononcer le mot ou la phrase nous-mêmes, les enfants vont acquérir la bonne prononciation automatiquement.
L'alphabet phonétique
L'alphabet phonétique international (API) est un alphabet utilisé pour la transcription phonétique des sons du langage parlé.
Développé par des phonéticiens français et britanniquessous les auspices de l'Association phonétique internationale, il a été publié pour la première fois en 1888. Sa dernière révision date de 2005 ; à ce jour il comprend 107 lettres.
Il y a 37 phonèmes en français et 44 en anglais. Il existe donc des différences entre le francais et l'anglais.
